This was taken as the last light of the afternoon setting over the Port Hacking River as seen from the small beach at Swallow Rock, Grays Point. The light and the shadow of the rising hill was stunning. The Royal National Park, seen beyond the river, was painted in a way that is inspired by the great Australian impressionist painters, with particular emphasis on the captivating white trunks of the eucalyptus gum trees, so iconic in the Australian Bush.
